An early contest requires something a little deeper, more substantial, full bodied with a bite. It must be have enough power to unload the palate of the undoubtedly heavy game day breakfast. Also the alcohol content must be high if you don't really want to have memories of the game you are witnessing. I am going to go with this:

75 IBUs

I will follow it up with a this in the afternoon as the sun and heat start to pick up. Lighter, fresh, a Pilsner with a subtle hops, and smooth finish.
