No comments about Dustin Johnson grounding his club? Pretty BS deal, but I still don't know why he grounded his club there regardless. There is no way people should be allowed to walk in a playable bunker.

You must have missed the whole part about, "Local rules were in place that any and all sand on the course were to be considered and played as bunkers."

Stupid? Yes.
Stupider for Johnson and caddy to not read the rules sheet? Yes.

No, I saw that too. I would have never ground my club there, still can't figure out why he did. I think he should have been penalized, but I also think it is stupid to have "bunkers" that you let people walk through and you can't really even tell that it is a bunker. I think it should be more clearly defined where the edge of the bunker is.

I agree with you. But on a course like that, with bunkers everywhere, you can't really keep people out of all of them, hence why they decided to make them play the way they did.
Here is a photo of that bunker, without all the people. And you can definitely tell it is/was a bunker and just trampled by the crowds.
