I honestly think FHD and Emusdad are good for sites. They create traffic and discussion. Yes, they get repetitive and annoying, but I find it entertaining. Anyone who gets angry takes message boards way too seriously. And they go back to their sites and post our threads bitching which in turn, increases traffic.

The hoops board is full of complete mindless retards, the Ape Room has become stale and repetitive much like Hollywood trying to capitalize on success by launching remakes or endless sequels until people want to puke, and my six-month stint in premium a couple of years ago or so didn't produce anything more than could be had just surfing the web. It had potential, but it lost its way. Maybe it can get it back, I dunno.

All4 is right that the joy has long since drained out of Phog.net, both from the users, who reached a high water mark around the time of the Hightower Photoshop thread and KU's 2008 banner year in both football and men's hoops, but also from it's owner, who has had PMS since Obama beat McCain.

I wish it hadn't turned out that way, really, since I invested a lot of time and money there (40K posts, two years Premium (what a waste)).

But that's been the nature of the online KU fanbase. We're nomads. We went from the LJW site (1997-98) to RockChalk.com (1998-2001) to Tom's joint AND Slant (2001 - 2010). Change is long overdue.
